SMALL CHANGES

Avoid drinking at mealtime

Drinking whilst eating a meal, dilutes the strength of your stomach acid. This may lead to less effective digestion and absorption of nutrients from your food.

Eat your vegetables first

By eating the vegetables on your plate first, it slows down the absorption of carbohydrates in your meal. This results in a more gradual rise in the sugar levels in your blood.

Go for a short walk after dinner

Just a 10 - 15 minute walk after dinner helps to lower the sugar levels in your blood following your meal.
